Digital is one of the enabler programmes across the partnership. We run and co-ordinate a number of projects directly with an aligned governance process. We also deliver digital solutions as part of non-digital projects, where we must align the governance framework.
Here’s an overview of the governing boards and forums and their roles.
West Yorkshire and Harrogate Digital Board
The Digital Board meets monthly and oversees the strategic direction and delivery of the partnerships digital aims.
Key responsibilities
- Sets and monitor the programme’s strategic direction
- Makes sure the digital strategy and approach is inclusive and cohesive and that we carry out thorough stakeholder engagement
- Makes sure strategy and projects are successful
- Provides oversight of and monitors the Digital Programme plan, taking appropriate steps to mitigate or escalate risks
- Provides assurance that digital projects follow the right procedures and guidelines
- Ensures we carry out benefit management processes and evaluate project delivery
- Seeks out funding opportunities to make sure we secure best value

Chief Information Officer Forum
The Chief Information Officer Forum works in conjunction with the Chief Clinical Information Officer Forum and the Digital Patient Engagement Forum to support the Digital Board enabling transformation through digital.
Key responsibilities
- Supports the development of the strategic direction for the Digital Programme, ensuring it is relevant to the needs of organisations
- Ensures we share regional messages and opportunities and advocate the benefits of regional working
- Shares examples of best practice where there is potential for scaling or learning
- Monitors Digital Programme delivery to ensure we follow standards, providing direction, advice and guidance where needed
- Releases resources to support regional projects where needed
- Provides oversight of and monitors the Digital Programme plan, taking appropriate steps to mitigate or escalate risks
Chief Clinical Information Officer Forum
The Chief Clinical Information Officer Forum works in conjunction with the Chief Information Officer Forum and the Digital Patient Engagement Forum to support the Digital Board enabling transformation through digital.
Responsibilities
- Supports the development of the strategic direction for the Digital Programme, ensuring it is relevant to the needs of organisations
- Ensures we share clinical digital regional messages and opportunities and advocates the benefits of regional working
- Shares examples of clinical digital best practice where there is potential for scaling or learning
- Monitors Digital Programme delivery to ensure we follow clinical digital and safety standards providing direction, advice and guidance where needed
- Provides oversight of and monitors the Digital Programme plan, taking appropriate steps to mitigate or escalate risks
