Healthwatch Wakefield are leading a project to understand whether the current pressures in health and social care are having an impact on the ability of staff to be compassionate in their work. Existing partners include Healthwatch Wakefield, Wakefield Council, Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, NHS Wakefield Clinical Commissioning Group, residential care homes and home care providers, South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, our hospices, and other third sector partners.

At the end of last year these partners took part in a survey looking at what compassion meant to them and if their organisations had done work on this topic.

We are now asking frontline staff to complete this survey, that is those who work with people in health and care settings, including hospitals, care homes, and people’s own homes.

The survey is completely anonymous to encourage openness. Please share this link and encourage people to give us their thoughts.
